Different parts of this project are covered by different licenses; see below for details.

Non-Content Files

All non-content code is covered by the MIT license (see below). Non-content code includes all files in the following directories:

  • /bin
  • /data
  • /environments
  • /extensions
  • /spec

Additionally, content in the /source folder is covered under the following conditions:

  • The code is found in /source/assets, /source/layouts, or source/partials
  • The file IS NOT covered by more specific license (many JS/CSS libraries, images, etc. will be covered by their own license defined in the relevent file; Some fonts are also under a more restrictive license.

Content Files

Content files are files which include the actual text of this publication (as opposed to the code which controls its appearance or functionality). All content files are governed by the following license:

The primary content pieces of the book can be found in the data and source directories. Template code (HAML/ERB) falls under the license defined above, but other text content here should be considered to fall under the CC-BY 4.0 license.
