Installation issue on MacOS #102
-
I'm running into a couple of issues with my Quire installation. I am new to using Terminal, so apologies in advance if the solution is painfully obvious! Installation of Node.js, Pandoc, Kindle Previewer, and PrinceXML all seemed to go as expected. When I went to install Quire I received the following: npm WARN deprecated [email protected]: Critical security vulnerability fixed in v0.21.1. For more information, see axios/axios#3410 Following this, when I type "Quire --help" I do get a list of commands, and I am able to see and work on my-project in Atom. However, I am unable to preview using http://localhost:1313/. Despite having tried various fixes, my browser refuses to connect. I'm unsure whether this is related to the above error or a separate issue entirely. Thanks, |

You will be prompted to give your password. If your user does have administrator access to the computer quire should install properly. If your user does NOT have administrator access you will need to contact your IT team to get access. |

Hi Erin, The first option resulted in error messaging, however, the second option worked perfectly and I am now able to preview using http://localhost:1313/. I will let you know if I encounter any more issues, but for now all seems to be working well. Thank you so much for resolving this for me! Catherine |
