Preflight Checklist

  • I use the latest version of YouTube Music (Application).
  • I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.

Problem Description

Currently, the downloaded files only have 'Artist - TrackName' for file names and do not have their original album track numbers. This messes up the correct playback order when the tracks are afterwards being played back as an album.

Proposed Solution

Please add an option in Downloader:
'Add Album Track Number to File Names', or 'Add Track Number'.

Alternatives Considered

Adding track numbers manually is very boring.

In my experience they sadly aren't working indeed (probably because first you have to add the album to a playlist, which requires the YT sign-in, and I'm not doing that), but it's still possible to download all of the album's compositions separately, one by one and put them in a folder. The only thing missing is track numbers.
