Wayland Issues

It has come to my attention that the playback cursor under Wayland does not update properly. I have experienced this on both Pop!_OS 22.04 and on an Arch Linux system. These issues will be investigated. For now, there is a workaround to fix this issue, but only if you have Saucedacity installed:

1. Open the saucedacity.desktop entry in a text editor.
2. Locate the 'Exec' entry.
3. After UBUNTU_MENUPROXY, add 'GDK_BACKEND=x11'.

These steps are derived from the following patch from Debian's audacity package. The added entry will make Saucedacity run as an X11 application.

Unfortunately, while this issue will have priority, this issue will not be fixed in time for the 1.2 stable release. It is not known when this will be fixed in the future, but after 1.2 is released, it will be given a high priority.
