Project 1: Differentiated Meshing for CFD-based Design
My interests in SU2 and the specific project stem from my passion for computational analysis and optimization in engineering systems. I am intrigued by the SU2 Foundation's mission to democratize access to multiphysics analysis and design optimization software, aligning with my belief in open-access tools fostering innovation in engineering sciences.
Regarding the "Differentiated Meshing for CFD-based Design" project, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the development of a code that generates discretized meshes with gradient information, a crucial aspect in optimizing engineering designs. My skills in Python programming, particularly with libraries like NumPy and JAX, equip me to tackle the task of developing and differentiating the meshing algorithm effectively.
Time Management
Currently, I am completing my undergraduate studies and will be graduating in April 2024. Following graduation, I have allocated 20 hours per week throughout the summer to dedicate to the SU2 GSoC project. During the GSoC months of May through July/August, I will be entirely available to focus on the project. I am committed to effectively managing my time to balance any remaining academic commitments with the demands of the project, ensuring timely progress and successful completion of all tasks.
