It may help to run one of the Pub/Sub sample applications and check whether that works for you, then to compare differences in application setup if it does. If you can't identify the issue, please provide a minimal reproducible sample application, and we'll troubleshoot.

Also note that 1.2.5.RELEASE is very old and is on an out-of-support release train.
