How does the profiler works?

Hello and happy new year,

We are profiling some dace program for CPU, GPU, FPGA and wondering what is happening in the background when x ms results are returned. How does the profiler info is being impact by system lags like watching video? Stress test while profiling?

For FPGA, some io ports could be placed on HBM memory instead of DDR. How can we test different connection impact on performance?
