Is it waterproof without color case ?

Hello,

I just woke up this morning with a weird question in my head about Solo v2 being waterproof: do you confirm that it's waterproof thanks to the epoxy sealing ? Meaning that, if I find a way to tuck it inside a wristband (to have it always at hand), it doesn't need the plastic case to resist accidental splash, keeping it as thin as possible ?

I can't imagine the rubber case makes it more waterproof, since it has holes in it. The bulk of the key is potted in epoxy, so if they made a waterproof claim, I would assume that applies to it even without the case.
