Ticker layer breaks when overlapping with wordpress editor field

The problem does not occur when I have another date-only field from the ACF core plugin on the same screen. In that case, the date and time picker plugin will use the core ACF library (new one in version 5) to display the picker instead of its own, which makes for a very different look overall.
