Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
For a long time, I've wanted to contribute and collaborate on open source projects. I have my interests in Machine Learning and Deep Learning. At sktime, I have found a perfect opportunity to work on an opensource project in the field of my interest under proper supervision.

What topics are you working on?

For the first month, I will be working on Huggingface, peft, lora and scattered foundation models; coordinated here sktime/sktime#6381

What are your learning goals?

• learn and apply deep learning techniques for time-series data analysis
• become more familiar with AI tools and methods
• improve my python coding skills
• learn how to design, write and test quality code.

What's next for you after the mentorship program?

For now I want to make 100% of this opportunity. After the mentorship program, I want to continue contributing to opensource projects, preparing myself for roles of mentor / core-developers for upcoming programs.
