After the latest Windows 10 update 1809, mail preview is not shown in the thumbnails.
Instead "Checking for new email..." is shown all the time.

Too bad because this is the only good gmail notifier out there.

Similar issue with Windows 10 update 1809, but instead of checking new mail I see black square. I think M$ just something changed in .NET Framework :)

Folks, this app isn't actively maintained, as it's been stable for quite some time. (at least it was, before the last updates to Windows). @jansokoly was maintaining it occasionally as reports came in, but I haven't used Windows for years now.

Your best bet to get this resolved is to submit a PR with a fix, and ping @jansokoly to rebuild and release a new version.

Issue still on Windows 10 update 2004

Any potential fix on the rise? this almost renders this app useless for me. I didn't know about this until I just upgraded to windows 10 in feb of 2021. LOL but yeah, I used this on windows 7 everyday. I need those thumbnails.

@alltiers I haven't maintained this is years, and the last maintainer we had dropped off a while back. The app needs someone to step forward to update it.

Come onnnnnn man you're the designer. Just give it the one upgrade it needs. How much $$ for you to do it?

Cringe.

My dude, I haven't used Windows since 2012 and don't have a machine I could install it on. I was just replying as a courtesy. @jansokoly took it over like 6 years ago. I'd suggest trying to recruit a Windows developer to take up the reigns here.
