Notable Changes
New installation setup process refined and given a fresh face lift to the community setup page.
New package server hosted via GiHub now replaces the deprecated php 8 incompatible packages.ez.no service controlled content (this resource could not be updated so we had to fully replace it.). Settings package.ini change.
Package import now correctly allows you to export the correct dates of content objects. Important Bugfix.
eZ Publish Composer Package composer.json now no longer depends upon ezsystems deprecated repositories instead we source from se7enxweb composer packages.
Updated README.md and doc/INSTALL.md documentation to be more relevant for today's users.
PHP8 Support throughout the kernel and trickling down to optional extensions to fix remaining key issues with PHP8 support. This came mostly in preventing a rather large amount of deprecation warnings flooding eZ Publish debug output with way too many messages to handle at once and per uncached page load. This was rather daunting at first but soon the work was completed. Enjoy a clean debug output window and less cluttered var/log/error.log.
PHP7 Support throughout the kernel and optional extensions. Developed before 2023. Great Job! Lots of improvements to leverage.
PHP8 Support. eZ Publish Default Datatypes were refactored to address key fatal errors.
PHP8 Support. Several developers contributed to the fixing of get_class usage to prevent several key errors.
PHP8 Support. A big effort to clean the debug output of warnings came from using rector to fix dynamically using the tool to address deprecated dynamic properties in all of eZ Publish's Classes. New Feature: Added support for WEBP images to be used the same as uploaded PNG images in eZ Publish.
PHP8 Support. Updated zetacomponents packages to provide key bug fixes for the core of eZ Publish (Especially CLI/Cronjob Features).
