Description

Who the primary contacts are for this work
Sonia G (PAM)
Cristina A (PAM)
Neil (Original ticket for RT https://rt.sanger.ac.uk/Ticket/Display.html?id=710848)

Knowledge or Stake holders
New challenge: I

  1. Sanger receives plate from LH. (Plate barcode: AP-rna-00182077)
  2. Plate is expected to have 2 wells free for controls
  3. The plate type is expected to be compatible with pipelines plasticware (checking this assumption)

Q> Via Sample manifest we can start this plate for covid sequencing? using method we did for VAX on Wednesday?
a. ‘Create manifest for plates’ in heron study
b. Create manifest and print labels
c. generate COG-UK ids

This was how we did the 1 VAX sample

  1. Generated COG UK IDs (we will do this)
  2. Went to Studies -> ‘Heron Project’ -> ‘Sample Manifests’ -> ‘Create manifest for plates’
  3. Template = ‘Default Plate’ (we weren’t sure what the ‘Heron’ one gave us over this)
  4. Purpose = ‘LHR Cherrypick’ (let us know if you think this is the wrong purpose)
  5. Supplier = ‘UK Biocentre’ (Expected to by AP)
  6. Create manifest and print labels
  7. In the manifest spreadsheet, for a row we are interested in we set the following fields:SANGER PLATE ID -> overwrite this to the plate barcode TBD
  8. SUPPLIER SAMPLE NAME -> put one of our new COG UK IDs here
  9. SAMPLE DESCRIPTION -> the root sample id
  10. PHENOTYPE -> positive
  11. Save and upload to SS – we got this resulting plate

Possibly meant to be the 'LTHR Cherrypick' plate purpose (tailed pipeline) rather than LHR?

Plate appears to be on site: Sanger > Sulston > D3-70 > miscellaneous plates
