Is it possible to load read-only N5 sources over http(s)? It sounds like imglib2/BigDataViewer/Paintera are all perfectly designed for that.
My specific uses would be:
Some of our data is in the cloud; I'd like to view it in Paintera without having to download the whole volume locally.
In other cases, I would host a "virtual" N5, streaming it from a different source (e.g. DVID or neuroglancer precomputed) which I'd prefer not to export to N5. (For Janelians, there was a short discussion of virtual N5 files on our Slack workspace last year..)

Recently, there has been some work on N5 that should make implementing an HTTP backend more straightforward. We are hoping to support this in the near future, but as of yet there is not project to support this.
