Network not working with docker-compose

When I run containers using docker-compose (or docker compose) with Rancher Desktop the container's network access is broken. When I run the same container (same image, same command) with docker run everything works. Any idea why this does not work?

Here is a simple example:

  test:
    image: alpine
    command: apk update

❯ docker-compose up

Using Docker directly it works without issues:

Seems to be fixed in the latest version (1.13.1).
