I've noticed that after a stock splits, daily prices are updated all the way back to the IPO of the stock. However hourly prices are not updated (stay the same as the day they were recorded). I've been able to work around this but now I've noticed that some stocks like 'WLL' are not updated all the way back to the IPO of the stock and instead it looks like the stock did a huge jump on the day the stock split. For example, on Yahoo Finance 'WLL' jumps from 0.57 -> 28 on September 2, 2020, the day the stock split at 1:49.426, which is the amount the stock jumped by: 0.57/(1/49.426) = 28.17. Does Yahoo Finance have a policy on how stock splits are updated in their database?
