Missing license files for vendored packaging package

The vendored packaging package has incomplete license details. I would expect to at least have a corresponding link to the original package and the corresponding license files inside the wheel, which is not the case at the moment. This is especially relevant with wheel being subject to the MIT license, while packaging is covered by BSD-2-Clause OR Apache-2.0.

How is setuptools managing this issue on their end?

To answer my own question, they also include the entire .dist-info directory from each vendored package which includes the license file(s).
