Am I the only one finding it weird, the header says "Pony Tutorial" but once you scroll down, it changes to the page title? I mean, what's the benefit in that? If anything, wouldn't breadcrumbs (site name ► page title ► section headline) make more sense?

That's how the theme works by default. I think it makes sense when hitting a deep link. Less so when scrolling. It would be interesting to hear from the theme creator what their reasoning is.
Is your suggestion to find a setting to turn off and leave it static?
