Question: does POCO support named pipes ?

Named pipes are not supported.

The fact that on Unix and Windows both are called "Named pipes", does not mean that they behave in the same way.
Thus poco project does not support them so that the library remains crossplatform.

Thanks. My use case is IPC between two processes where one is not the child of another. Is that supported cross platform ?
