M365 for SharePoint OnPrem subscription edition

Ok, so I know that M365 CLI is dedicated for SP online and that makes totally sense.
But know the next step for the OnPrem edition is the Subscription one https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-sharepoint-blog/a-new-day-for-sharepoint-server/ba-p/2556404

More frequent updates and more up to date with Online. Maybe know it could make sense to have an M365 CLI for the SP OnPrem?

This has been brought up in the past as well. The main hurdle is auth. CLI for M365 is built on top of AAD-based auth which isn't available for on-prem. Given the scope of changes required to get this to work, I'd say that we keep focus on M365.
