Responsiveness behavour does not work in IE 11 for sunbsites

We activated responsiveness on our SP2016 on premises installation. Which I understand should work for all sub sites within the site collection. This is the case in Edge and Chrome but we are having issues within IE 11 which is our selected browser.

the top lecvel site when viewed in the IE11 is responsive but the child sites are not but are in the other browsers.

Hi @welshboyo, did you see from the documentation this information?: "However, if you want to leverage the Responsive UI on all the sub-sites of the target Site Collection, you will have to disable the "Mobile Browser View" for those sub sites, as well."
