What kind of issue is this?

  • Development Platform or Board
  • Feature Request

NXP i.MX 8M family has been increasing its popularity.
A lot of different vendors developed their SoM based on this family.
This is hetherogenous processor (Cortex-A + Cortex-M)
One of the most interesting one is i.MX8M Mini, focused on industrial, mobile and smart applications.

Here are the product page and the datasheet.

Is there any interest to support the Cortex-M4 of i.MX8M Mini in PlatformIO?

There is an official Evaluation Kit from NXP, or a lot of devices from NXP hardware partners.

@ivankravets not sure if this is the right repo for this request, since i.MX8M Mioni is not one of the i.MX RT series crossover processors.

Let's keep this feature request here and see how many people need support for this board/MCU.
