Where pip? #79
-
Apologies in advance for what is no doubt a complete beginner's question but I cant get off the start line with an install of Aerosandbox/Python... I'm following the instructions for beginners ( I've uninstalled/reinstalled twice now) and have the same issue each time. The Aerosandbox instructions state that adding python to environment path is straightforward, just a case of ticking a check box during install. However, each time, the tick box is greyed out so I cant check it. I tried installing anyway then adding it to path later via Googled instructions, but when I subsequently do the basic check for successful install suggested by the Aerosandbox instructions ("Where python" followed by "where pip") it doesnt recognise the pip command. "Where python" is ok. Unfortunately it doesnt offer any advice of what to do if this check shows a problem with the install and being completely inexperienced, I dont know where to go from there.... so here I am...., stuck on the starting block, feeling silly and asking for help! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Windows 11 on a pretty well specced engineering laptop if that helps... I did search "where pip" here but couldn't see any relevant posts.... |

Fixed.... I think the problem was that I selected multi-user install.... |
