This might work but you would need something in the channel metadata to signify the "rules of operation". |

One problem that other platforms such as Reddit, Discord, etc face is the problem of moderator abuse. Typically a moderator or other figure in power has complete control over the community, they can ban anyone, delete channels, change settings. Moderator control in this way is not necessarily a bad thing, but it allows an attacker to irreversibly damage the community, or an abusive mod/owner to become tyrannical. Usually the only way to fix this is to "fork" or duplicate the community, or for the site's administrators to intervene, but the damage to the community is already done.
This is why I feel that implementing democratic moderation as an option for servers is a good idea. the community themself vote on moderation decisions directly through consensus, or they vote for moderators and owners who in turn govern the community, and the moderators could have roles and permissions defined by the community, as well as term limits.
This, coupled with a robust audit log system increases transparency in community moderation.
