Being able to override the
pack
command in thepackage.json
would help us to have a custom packaging flow. For example, I'm using
rush
but I do not publish the software on npmjs. we are building a different kind of system which is tar.gz based and there are a lot of directories I don't want to have in a build like.heft, .rush, temp ...
.Setting the
scripts.pack
in thepackage.json
doesn't overwrite thepnpm pack
although I think it should, I'm using nowscripts.package
to package our artifact, but this means I need always to keep docs in README with the explanation of the pack script.Having the
pnpm pack
to use thepack
from thepacakge.json
would be much more intuitive than setting a separate script name.Any thoughts?
