Using Renovate instead of dependabot

Both RHTAP and bootc projects are working with Renovate. It would be quite nicely if this project will align.

What does it provide that would make it worth using instead of dependabot? I've never used it and I've been pretty happy with how we have dependabot setup for the other osbuild projects. I think consistency between projects is important so I'd lean towards dependabot unless there is a compelling reason to switch. And then the question becomes should we switch all of them? :)

Both dependabot and renovate are good options for addressing a similar problem. You might find the following Bot comparison article useful.
I also agree that consistency between projects is important. That was my initial argument for suggesting renovate adoption.
RHTAP is using renovate and already creating PRs in this repo. The bootc repos are on boarded as well as additional processes. Would be happy to chat or even hop on a call if you'd like to receive a broader context.
