hi folks.
I found out this week that some of the metrics tooling that Kepler can work outside of Kubernetes, meaning it can be used in other scheduling software like Nomad, and others, or even allow folks to piece together their own metrics tooling, because like Scaphandre it offers process level energy usage figurex (these docs here explain at a high level how Scaphandre provides this).
Anyway, this is what Kepler is if you're new to it:
The docs linked below outline how to install Kepler as an RPM, and have it running with systemd, without needing to run it inside Kubernetes. But they appear to be aimed at Redhat flavoured versions of linux, and I'm only really familiar with Ubuntu similar variants.

Would this mean it's a viable alternative to Scaphandre, and a potential building block for similar services?
