In addition to doing

\editorialFunction #emendation NoteHead { a b c d }

which isn't a feature yet, but presumably will be and would edit all noteheads in that group, or perhaps parenthesize the group, depending on the options..

this shorthand may be useful:

\editorialSection #emendation NoteHead { a \edit b c \edit d }

particularly in complex sections where every other note is an edition.
