Unable to create live usb stick in Windows 7

There are several problems on Windows 7, although certain installs work:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Insert USB flashpen
2.Write .iso/.raw to USB
3.
Actual Results:
Exception write during caught:System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception:
Access denied
At ImageWriter.DriveAccess.Write(Byte||buffer,UInt32len)
At ImageWriter.MainWindow,WriteToDisk()

4 years later the error still persists doesn't matter the full instructions

No problem, just delete all partitions on the drive using the Disk Management Snap-in (compmgmt.msc), right click on the partition and Delete. Try again and you should have Success!
