Just posting to share my fork in case anybody is interested: https://github.com/MilesCranmer/rip2. It's available on crates.io as 'rip2'.

I'm using this as a way to get better at rust, and also since rip is a tool I use regularly, I want to keep it alive and maintain it.

Here are the changes on the fork as of today:

Windows support
Refactoring to modern rust (building off of @StandingPadAnimations's fork)
Test suite and coverage
Shell completions
Some unmerged PRs from this repo (from @tmacychen and @DanielRivasMD)
Bug fix for FIFO files
Bug fix for seance of large files (thanks to @JeromeSchmied)

Happy to take PRs/feature requests from anybody interested.
