I'm almost sure the disconnect problem is because the resolution of the phone screen

FHD+ 2340x1080 no problems
QHD+.3120x1440 constant disconnecting, flinker fest.

From about 2 weeks ago my phone (Fairphone2 - Android9) keeps on disconnecting. 95% disconnecting - 5% connecting. Before it was inverse: 95%connecting - 5% disconnecting... same phone - same resolution ..!?
