The dataset bottleneck

As it is usually the case in machine learning, getting a suitably large and diverse dataset is the main bottleneck. The Internet is in no shortage of images of clocks and watches but I couldn't find any labeled dataset. As I result, I had to generate my own. I used to different approaches with different drawbacks and advantages:

Crude MATLAB watchface (MATFACE)

Android Wear watchfaces (DROIDFACE)
My idea was to use Android Wear watchfaces for training and testing my time reading network. After all, people actually use these watch faces, so they must be a good representation of the real thing.
