Hi,
just came up some days ago as idea: if you have a calendar with a lot of entries, it would be cool to have a search filter to find special events only

Hi, I like the idea! I wonder how you would like to use it?
Should it only show the special events in the tab (day, month, agenda ...) where they are used?
How about filtering in different time intervals. Should one filter certain attributes (SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION, CATEGORY, ...) What are your thoughts on this?
What would be the minimal search and what would it look like?

hi, i am imaging like this:

a) put a search field below this button bar:
grafik

b) then show only events in the existing view (day, week, month or agenda), matching the search filter

filters could be (maybe multiple filterings at once?)

  • date from ... date to
  • time from ... time to
  • creation date
  • interval (does the event repeat or is it "once and forever"?)
  • summary
  • description
  • url
  • category
  • the calendar itself (caldav source)

what do you mean with special events where they used? i dont understand this

special events = events found by the search
