@nu111 - which version of Nextcloud are you using? I think from version 26 we made it so that the file will only be written back after making changes to it. So I would like to know if this is still happening to you on a newer version. |
Hi @max-nextcloud I am on version 25.0.6 |
@nu111 So if I got it right, the bug if fixed starting with nc26, right? |

- one
- two
- three if I open it with the integrated md editor, no changes are made, but if I just hit enter, the list symbol is replaced # This is a title
this is a bullet list with the hyphen symbol
* one
* two
* three Here a video about this: https://cloud.nimaia.it/s/5HooJc4JHJrEsQk So my "bug" report was wrong. I must say I don't like the fact that NC markdown editor replaces Sorry! |

When I open a markdown file with NextCloud, the source code gets modified, for example each
-
in a list get replaced by a*
.If the source it's heavely invalid, the result is very messy.
Describe the solution you'd like
Source code of markdown files should not change, IMHO.
Describe alternatives you've considered
If this is somehow needed, should not be automatic, but only if user consents.
