Losing focus when mentioning users in comments

After mentioning users in comments the cursor jumps to the left oft the field. When typing, it jumps back behind the name where it should have been all the time.

However, when users after mentioning others try to move the cursor behind the mentioned user, they always lose focus and cannot type anything at all.
