Expected Behavior

Add support for Westermo industrial switches (eg Lynx series)

Current Behavior

There is no specific device class for Westermo switches in SNMP::Info yet

Possible Solution

Write a device class to pull basic information from Westermo Lynx series switches

Context

We've been using these switches to interconnect the fire alarm systems on our Campus for years. They are very reliable and (if I understand correctly from our FM dept) conform to specific regulatory requirements for this application.

Your Device

  • Vendor: Westermo
  • Device Model: Lynx
  • Operating System Version: v4.32.5
  • Snmpwalk output of .1.3.6.1.2.1.1:
SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: "Westermo Lynx, primary: v4.32.5, backup: v4.32.2, bootloader: v2017.12.0-8"
SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.16177
EXPRESSION-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (3750423302) 434 days, 1:50:33.02
SNMPv2-MIB::sysContact.0 = STRING: "Redacted"
SNMPv2-MIB::sysName.0 = STRING: "bm1-bastille"
SNMPv2-MIB::sysLocation.0 = STRING: "Bastille"
SNMPv2-MIB::sysServices.0 = INTEGER: 79
SNMPv2-MIB::sysORLastChange.0 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00

Your Environment

  • SNMP::Info version used: 3.95
  • Netdisco version (if used): 2.70.1
