As a follow up to #783, we should include tests for the

rate of strain tensor (likely a simple laminar pipe flow with known velocity solution - 3 cases with flow along 3 axes)
traction or a similar quantity (block or cylinder in crossflow, could compare to correlations for lift, drag, or amplitude)
