Enhanced Navigation Controls

Erdblick lacks essential navigation controls that could significantly enhance usability. The addition of the following features is proposed:

• Compass: To orient the map to north or a custom direction.
• Scale Bar: To provide a reference for distance on the map.
• Zoom Controls: Buttons for incremental zooming in and out.
• Measurement Tools: For calculating distances and angles directly on the map.

Depending on the effort we may consider moving the request for each of the tools in a separate issue.

Additionally, it is advisable to explore CesiumJS's built-in capabilities that may already support these features and could be integrated with minimal effort. Relevant resources include:

• Alberto Acevedo’s Cesium Navigation on GitHub, which demonstrates the implementation of basic controls for CesiumJS (https://github.com/alberto-acevedo/cesium-navigation).

These examples could serve as a foundation or inspiration for enhancing the erdblick’s functionality.
