Overview

ICD11 Ingest
#434 introduces new prefixes from the ICD11 ingest: icd11.foundation, id11.schema, and icd11.z. These prefixes are probably good as-is, though icd11.z (http://who.int/icd#Z_), which I believe refers to obsoleted classes in the foundation, could probably be given better naming.

In addition to these new foundation prefixes, there are existing ICD11 prefixes in mondo-ingest. However, just having it be "ICD11" is ambiguous. It doesn't tell us whether or not it pertains to the foundation (it doesn't) or a particular linearization.

Orphanet
In the case of Orphanet, 100% of their ICD11 and ICD-11 references are to what I call ICD11MMS (Morbidity and Mortality Statistics), so I suggest that we rename these prefixes to ICD11MMS.

NCIT and DOID
Apparently NCIT and DOID also have ICD11 xrefs, but I don't know anything about these.

Others
I don't yet know with 100% certainty if there are other ICD11 xrefs coming in from elsewhere.

Sub-tasks

  • 1. Consider renaming icd11.z
  • 2. Consider renaming Orphanet's ICD11 and ICD-11 to ICD11MMS
  • 3. Figure out what to name ICD11 xrefs from NCIT
  • 4. Figure out what to name ICD11 xrefs from DO
  • 5. Figure out if there are any other ICD11 refs anywhere else, and rename them.

Great issue, thanks. Yes to all. I am not bothered about icd11.z as we will never see it in Mondo itself.
