Java Access Bridge:

FreeDots is written in Java to allow cross-platform accessibility.
However, given the "no gears included" approach of MS Windows accessibility,
you will have to install the Java Access Bridge yourself (if you didn't do
so already in the past) before you can use FreeDots with your
screen reader.

Unicode Braille with JAWS For Windows:
--------------------------------------

As of version 12, JAWS For Windows finally includes standard
definitions for Unicode Braille.  If you are going to
read FreeDots output files on Windows with a version of JAWS less then 12,
you will need to append the definitions below
to your .JBT file (JAWS Braille Table).
Simply copy all text below the separation line till the
end of this file, and paste it into your .JBT file.

The Unicode braille definitions should really be part of any braille capable
screen reader by default.  If your screen reader
does not handle Unicode Braille properly, tell your vendor
about it.  They should finally arrive in the 21st century as well.
