Background

The idea behind this ticket is to create a new Flask web application to allow users to manage their own certificate renewal. We, as a team, want to avoid as much of the manual work as possible when renewing yearly certificates with Gandi, so part of this work is to investigate how and what can be automated through an application.

Questions / Assumptions

  • What is the process for domains that we own?
  • What is the process for domains that we don't own?
  • What information do we want to capture from users on the form?
  • What are the security restrictions?
  • What authentication is required?

What hypothesis do we want to test?/What do we want to learn?

  • Can we automate the validation of CSRs through the web application?

Definition of done

  • Firebreak finding documented appropriately
  • Demo completed
  • Decision made on whether to progress Firebreak work
  • Does next steps require User Research?
  • Firebreak next step Issues created
