Azure Repos - Having to reauthenticate multiple times a day

I'm using the Azure Repos extension (v.0.38.0). Throughout the day, I am prompted by the box screenshotted below, saying, " The provided credentials are either invalid or expired. Would you like to reauthenticate?"

Why do I have to reauthenticate every hour or every couple of hours? What can I do to resolve this so that I don't have to do this so frequently? I have been using this with my work Azure instance as well as my personal Azure dev instance with this same issue.
