Error after extension manager refreshes

When I am working in my solution and the Extension Manager refreshes, the following error is displayed and some of my project functionality stops working:

Element with id is already registered

There are no other errors or out of the ordinary information in the Output pane.

Can confirm this bug happens every time I click "Reload with updated extension". Solution dropdown box becomes blank and can't be used until VS Code is closed and reopened.

And the current version of VS Code I'm running is:
