Description

The Microsoft GDK installer uses WiX and is therefore subject to this security issue. A patched version of WiX has been used for recent servicing branches of the Microsoft GDK.

This issue is addressed as of the following releases or later:

  • October 2023 GDK Update 6
  • March 2024 GDK Update 5
  • June 2024 GDK Update 2
  • October 2024 GDK or later

This issue does not impact the payload of the GDK or the Microsoft.GDK.* NuGet packages.
