Trying to filter buttons, search, and hash

Hi. I can get combination buttons and search to work together as a filter, but am having trouble adding a URL hash to the mix.

I'd like to be able to distribute URLs that would link to the page, with the appropriate buttons selected and the appropriate articles filtered. However, when I try to enable that, it breaks either the buttons or the search.

Would you mind taking a look? It would be much appreciated!
