Hi, Just received the wican and am in the process of setting it up.
One small thing I noticed already is that when I set it up in station mode, it registers via dhcp to my router as "espressif".
It would be nicer if it proudly used its own hostname wican. I assume this is a parameter in the networking part.

It is no blocker in any way, access still works and all. Its just that it now has a bit cryptic name that I will surely forget when I look through my connected devices in a year or so.

Regards,

Bert

@brjhaverkamp Thanks for the suggestion. I think there is a way to change it to wican.

Could you change it to wican-{deviceid} ?, I have two of them

Has this to be hard coded?
Should´nt it be better to have it configurable?

That would be even nicer, of course:-)
