Inner simplification and extract gaps and overlaps.

After watching the "Simple Polygonal Coverages in PostGIS" video [link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vC3V6GOmgQ], I have a couple of suggestions for additional functions:

Inner Simplification: This function would focus on simplifying inner features and outer border should untouched. This would prove to be extremely useful for individuals working with cross-country datasets.

Extract Gaps and Overlaps: Sometimes, you may not need to perform extensive modifications but simply want to identify and extract topological errors like gaps and overlaps from the layer. This function could serve as a quick and efficient tool for such specific requirements.

I appreciate the creation of this tool, which has become an integral part of my GIS toolsets.
