How do I use pantalaimon with an appservice?

For example, I would love to encrypt my bridges on the serverside. Heisenbridge does not support E2E natively and I was wondering if I can use pantalaimon to work around that.
I tried setting it up but pantalaimon needs a client to login before it can be used - AppServices don't login, they always have a hs_token and as_token and they don't have a password.
Is this is sadly impossible?

Yeah app services aren't really supported, there's #84, which seems to be one of the required things for appservices though I don't really know how and if at all it works.
