If I press and j/k in quick succession, sometimes the j/k will not be registered, but will disappear from the status line as if the input was processed.
Steps to reproduce
Press j fast enough. You will see appear for a moment on the status line.

Hi! I am able to recreate this but its very difficult for me. Are you able to consistently get such behavior? It is most likely due to termkey. You can try lowering the escdelay option and see if improves the situation.

Yes, I can get this consistently, to the point where it often happens multiple
times in a row until I consciously try entering `<C-w> + direction` a little bit
slower. I tried changing `escdelay` and it seems like it has no affect on this
at all. Setting it to values between ranging from 1 to 10000 results in exactly
the same behavior as far as I can tell.
