Adding a Makefile target to produce cosmopolitan APE (actually portable executables) could help produce easy to distribute executables, with all their deps embedded.
I tried to just compile them using comocc but had problems importing libtermkey, so perhaps some patches are needed

I would say “Patches welcome!” meaning that I don’t think anybody is much against the idea, but I don’t think anybody will spend their time learning new technology they don’t use.
